Interview with Hannah “Shockwave” Cifers. Hannah (4-1 amateur) will be making her professional MMA debut, Friday, October 18 on XFC Fight Card # 26. Hannah will be taking on seasoned pro, Heather Clark (5-4 pro). Hannah is 21 years old, 5’2”, 115lbs and is as “Country” as a Dolly Parton song. Ms. Cifers punches as hard as a mule kicks and prefers to spar with bigger guys.
How long have you been training MMA and where are you currently training?
HC: I have been training a little over 2 years. I currently train at Renegade Gym under Michael Allen and Phil Wills.
How did you get started in MMA?
HC: I have been watching fighting since I was 4 years old. I love it.
Who is your favorite fighter?
HC: Cris Cyborg. I like her because she finishes fights
Any thoughts on your opponent?
HC: She is a good fighter with a well rounded game. She has a dangerous overhand right
What is your favorite discipline of MMA?
HC: Without a doubt, Muay Thai.
What is your typical diet while training
HC: Lots of protein. Deer meat and rabbit mixed in with fresh vegetables.
What is your least favorite part of fighting
HC: Interviews (She says with a smile)
How do you envision winning this fight?
HC: K.O. – definitely K.O.
